Terrific property. This place was a 10 in all accounts. One morning we woke up to 100 head of elk in the backyard with the rumbling Big Wood River just a few feet away. Shortly after a red fox trotted through the property. Amazing. Besides the brand new ultra state of the art kitchen, the true log cabin feel, and the large comfortable bedrooms and bedding, the best part of the house is the sunken fireplace. Its a must see as my wife and our friends let time escape as the fireplace brought warmth to us all.

WONDERFUL CABIN IN THE WOODS

Date of Stay September 25, 2012

MY WIFE AND I HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME STAYING AT THIS BEAUTIFUL CABIN IN THE WOODS. THE FALL COLORS WERE JUST STARTING TO CHANGE. THIS LOG HOME HAS EVERYTHING: ITS QUAINT BUT YET UPDATED WITH A NEW KITCHEN AND APPLIANCES. IT WAS COZY AND COMFORTABLE, YET LARGE ENOUGH FOR A BIG GROUP. JUST STEPS TO THE BIG WOOD RIVER. THE FISHING HERE WAS GOOD AND I'M NOT A GREAT FISHERMAN. WE SAW A HEARD OF ELK WANDERING DOWN THE RIVER ONE EVENING, VERY EXCITING !. THE CABIN IS TOTALLY SECLUDED IN THE WOODS FOR LOTS OF PRIVACY, BUT IT WAS ONLY 1/4 MILE DOWN THE ROAD TO ALBERTSONS AND THE TOWN OF HAILEY, SO IT WAS ALSO VERY CONVENIANT. HAVING ACCESS TO THE GARAGE TO STORE OUR BIKES WAS ALSO A PLUS. THE BIKE TRAIL WAS AN EASY 1/2 MILE AWAY. THE TRAIL RUNS UP AND DOWN THE VALLEY AND IS 30 MILES LONG WITH VERY LITTLE CHANGE IN ALTITUDE. WE DID 12 MILES ONE DAY AND 10 MILES ANOTHER DAY. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL SCENERY ALL ALONG THE TRAIL. THIS HOME WILL GO ON THE BOOKS AS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES WE HAVE EVER STAYED AND WE GIVE IT OUR HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. IF YOU WANT CHARACTER, COMFORT, AND CONVENIANCE, ALL IN A BREATHTAKING, PRIVATE SETTING IN THE FOREST NEXT TO BEAUTIFUL RIVER THEN LOOK NO FURTHER. MY WIFE AND I WILL DEFINITELY BE STAYING HERE AGAIN. BEST WISHES, KEITH & LOIS, FROM CALIFORNIA.

This is truly a cabin for a vacation nonpareil. It has a storybook setting in an excellent location for multi-season activities or just relaxing by the beautiful central fireplace. The newly remodeled kitchen with high-end appliances and large granite island offers a central gathering area for family/friends regaling each other with the misdeeds of the day. I highly recommend it.
